Mildred
Forest City, NC

My Mother, Mildred Benedict, spent her only and last night on earth at the Hospice House in Forest City. When she arrived from Mission in Asheville, it was like 6 angels flew into the room to tend to her. They treated me with the same respect as I spent the night with my Mom. It sure made my Mom’s passing a little easier. Thank you so much for your care.

Tryon, NC

My mom loved hospice before she ever needed it, as my grandmother was cared for in 2000 by Hospice of the Carolina Foothills. My mom spent 11 days at the hospice house in Landrum. If this choice had to be made again, it would be the same. She was cared for as if she was family. Not only did they care for her, they cared for all of us. I am so thankful that there was a place where her last days were calm and she could be surrounded by those that love her. Thank you to everyone at Agape.

Ann H
Columbus, NC

A beautiful life force. Though she had a very short period of care from Hospice (only 4 days, including Christmas), it was excellent.

- Ellen , Mother

Maxine
Ellenboro, NC

My mom Maxine McKinney was a strong, independent, and Loving person. She enjoyed putting together puzzles, watching NASCAR and wrestling. She loved her family more than life itself. Her health diminished fast in a month. From two hospital trips, to Hospice where we all said our final good byes to her. There are no words that could express the gratitude we feel towards you all for treating her with such respect, grace, and care. You will forever be in our thoughts, prayers, and hearts!

My wife was there for 6 days she was given the best of care from all the staff at hospice. They offered great comfort care to her in her last days of life. They even looked in after my stepdaughter and myself. I miss her so much but she could not have been in a better place the last week of her life. Thank you and God bless you All! I would recommend hospice to anyone who’s love one is in the end of life stage.

Jason
Forest City, NC

Jason was a Son. Brother. Father. Chef. And one of the kindest people you would meet. He would help anyone, even if it meant going without for himself. He was an Executive Chef but preferred to be called a Cook. He lived a colorful life, traveling, and sharing his passions and friendship. He loved life and his Stats game. He said he would live to be 150. He missed that goal by 101 years, leaving a heartbroken mom and sister, who was his best friend.
