Hospice of the Carolina Foothills Locations Named SHP’s Best 2023 Hospice Caregiver Satisfaction Award Winners

We pride ourselves on delivering the highest quality care and creating meaningful experiences for our patients and their families. That’s why we use an industry-trusted, independent company like SHP to survey the families and caregivers of our patients to make sure our care teams are providing the very best service possible. 

We use a research-backed and standardized survey called the Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (CAHPS) survey. The Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ), part of the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services, developed the CAHPS program to improve scientific understanding of patient experience and ultimately help advance the delivery of safe, patient-centered care. The CAHPS survey is given to the family members and caregivers of all our patients. Not only is it used by our team to understand how we can improve our care, but it’s also used by Medicare to measure and compare health care providers. 

The annual SHPBest™ awards program recognizes hospice care providers that consistently score highly in these surveys by providing high quality service to family members, loved ones and caregivers of the patients they serve.We are thrilled to announce that our locations in Columbia, Forest City and the SECU Inpatient Unit (hospice house) were named a Superior Performer!
